Luxary Goods, the one were u get the mirrors and give them to homeless canthans.

It says they came from Elona.. and they called Elonian Mirrors , i thot everyone should no this.

they also made references toward elona in prophecies too- around the time you ascend if im not mistaken...

Lyra, i dont think Anet had set up a storyline for ch3 when ch1 was done maby they did i dont think so

so i guess maby they just had them there cus it was a option

They could have based the storyline of chapter 3 around something in chapter one (Namely Elona reach and the Elonians trying to ascend). I mean, Elona is supposed to be right next to the crystal desert..so there could very well be a connection there.

It's possible that they've based this story off chapter one, remember it's been worked on since chapter one was finished by the second half team. Not to mention it's supposed to wrap up the scepter storyline or so I read in some article I cant find right now.

Leipzig, but I doubt it's that simple.
They tried to add a piece of Cantha below the CD as well before Factions was released, it also fitted like a glove. And by the size it is now, Elona would be about as big as post-Sering Ascalon and the Northern Shiverpeaks, + the island, which would be really, really small for a PvE focused chapter, so I'd say the scale from the Elona pic is off...

Yeah, but there is EVIDENCE that Elona borders the Crystal Desert. UNLIKE Cantha, which had no evidence whatsoever.

No there isn't. The elona's in the desert were said to come there after some sort of exodus or journey there in order to ascend. Never in Phrophecies have they said that the desert is next to Elonia. If Elona is right next to the cyrstal desert, I doubt they'd have called it that.

Also, the Paragon has been described as the guardian of the Elonian People in official press releases/a.nets website, so Elonia is obviously the location of the next chapter (when people were predicting Cantha a year ago people were sceptics about that too).

This is where I think you are so very very wrong; can you say ToPK invasion and the Massive Tentacles; extruding from the ground, or how about the story behind Elona Reach with the Three Groups not agreeing. How about the quest in the Underworld and the awakening of the old taint that is Dhaaum the former god of Death and Destruction.

There were plenty of warnings and glimpses on the Chapter 3 story, only we did not notice them. They were apart of the bigger GW story all along.

Then we might as well start looking for hints on chapter four in cantha[since that was linked very little to elona compaired to tyria, and it'll be the same team]
maybe we'll find out where the luxons ship their jade to[and maybe the kurzick's amber, if they sell that to other nations as well]

yes yes, the elona/tyria pic is too small. i didnt want to give people a heart attack when i posted one that actually fit perfectly and showed them the possibility that elona is even bigger than tyria. if my theory is correct, of course ;P

one thing that this theory has over cantha in any way being connected is that cantha was always known to be a continent far south, wheras elona has had a piece of fluff in-game (albeit only over the dragon festival) stating in fact that the crystal desert is a PART of elona. i wish i could turn back time and take a screenie of the scribe to prove it, but unfortunately the scribe is long gone with the dragon festival.

Yes, I remember that too. Elona has been mentioned as being next to the Crystal Desert. And saying that Prophecies mentioned Elonians travelling to Crystal Desert is indicative that Elona is not connected to Tyria is pretty weak. That's like suggesting these desert people can't travel across a desert... Also, regarding scale... did you guys notice that Cantha is smaller as well? There was an interview where someone mentioned they wanted to keep the scale smaller so there's more to do in each area rather than large tracts of generic areas where you visit only because you wanted the explorer title.

And saying Cantha is next to Tyria is wrong. Several places in the game already mentions that Cantha is a separate continent, and only sea travel is possible (or magic map travel ^-^).

As for chapter 4, that's a bit vague. There's not much hooks in Cantha that references chapter 4, except maybe the origins of the Luxon people (their origins were a mystery according to the Historian iirc). Maybe the Luxons and the Margonites in the Crystal Desert had a link? Maybe a seafaring campaign for the fourth chapter?

i was looking at the new map piece and thought WOW ! Look at all that area.. Then I looked at tyria and noticed how small the actual explorable areas are compared to the size of the map. i wonder Just how much of that new map will be open to us.

According to what the dev once said, there are 2 teams of dev, and each work on 1 chapter for a year.

So if chapter1 was done, they should be working on chapter 3... while chapter 2 was done, they work on chapter 4.

Could this mean that each team will try to complete their own continent parts? So, chapter 4 would have more part of Cantha continent to the south (with a different name)?
